As PMIs and PMFs we're always focused on finding solutions and learning new skills. And PMAA is committed to sharing the significant knowledge and expertise of our community. But sometimes, you need to call in an outside expert. And in a community with as many interests, talents, and career paths as ours, we need a team of experts. That’s why PMAA is thrilled to announce a new partnership with edX.
edX is a premier Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform. MOOCs are online courses available for anyone to enroll. MOOCs provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, advance your career, and deliver quality educational experiences at scale. Millions of people around the world use MOOCs for career development, changing careers, college preparations, supplemental learning, lifelong learning, corporate eLearning & training, and more.
PMAA has partnered with edX to give you discounted access to online courses so you can develop new skill sets and amplify your career successes. But these aren’t just any online classes. edX offers in-demand, job-relevant courses taught by top instructors and professors from the world’s leading universities and organizations, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Northwestern, UPenn, Oxford, as well as IBM, Google, AWS, World Bank, and Meta.
From today until August 31, 2023, all members may use the discount code PMAA20 for 20% any single MOOC course offered on edX*. Use the code to register for as many classes as you’d like.
These courses will enable you to:

● Immerse yourself in an interactive learning experience and share ideas with others in learner communities
● Work when you want and at your own pace with short chapters, asynchronous options, and self-paced learning

The average cost of an edX course is just $149, with many a fraction of that price. We highly recommend requesting your agency reimburse or cover your costs, especially if they are related to your individual development plan, current performance plan, agency strategic goals, or long term professional goals.

Starting September 1, PMAA moves officially into affiliate status with EdX. PMAA will get a percentage of the course fees every time someone registers using our links, and PMAA members can still take advantage of a 10% discount on EdX courses. PMAA can also negotiate discounted group rates for courses, including high value Bootcamps and Executive Education courses not normally covered by our discount.
