After completing a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Imago Dei Middle School in Tucson, Mark accepted a full-time position as the school’s Family Services Coordinator. Founded in 2006, Imago Dei is a small, independent, tuition-free private school in downtown Tucson, offering grades 5-8 for children from low-income families. Most students are Mexican immigrants or African refugees. In the Episcopal tradition, Imago Dei provides small class sizes, individual attention, and an extended school day, week, and year: “We admit children of diverse faiths, races, cultures, and cognitive profiles, and never give up on a child.”

Maria is pleased to announce a timely side business. She founded Papillon Ridge Soap Company this year and is now producing a variety of artisan bath and body products. Using botanicals, including some grown organically on her 1/3 acre property in Virginia, she's blending art and science to make nourishing bars of soap and relaxing spa products for all skin types. Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge No. 116 of Towson, MD, installed Gary as Worshipful Master for the 2020 term. Chartered in May 1865, the lodge has long been a staple of the Towson community. As executive, Gary is the first Master of this Masonic Lodge to sit in the East with a service animal. A longtime advocate in the disability community and for the use of service animals, Gary (and his service dog, Bowie) worked with his lodge to ensure accessibility and accommodation throughout his advancement. Among his many goals for his term, Gary hopes to spotlight masons in civil life and public service, helping to advance conversation on civility and to grow the fraternity.

Nancy retired in January from her post as Chief Statistician of the United States at OMB, where she led the federal statistical system, co-chaired the Federal Data Strategy, and served as a Commissioner on the Evidence-Based Policy Making Commission. Nancy had 36 years of federal service, spanning all 3 branches of government. She is now consulting and speaking on evidence based policy making, leveraging data as a strategic asset, program evaluation, and organizational transformation. In February, she assumed Chair of the Board of Trustees of UCLA’s National Math Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics and joined the Board of the Data Foundation as an Advisor Director. She also edits a column, Effective Policy Learning, for the Harvard Data Science Review and encourages anyone interested in submitting articles to contact her.
